CHARACTERS

ALLISON~ in the beginning she is a street rat pretty much. Starving, dirty, homeless, a scavenger that has friends and people she can talk to. She is with people who have a similar hate, vampires. But all of that changes quickly. She turns into a vampire, after running from rabids, after all her friends die, she becomes a vampire. It changes her completely. To being a scavenger looking for food everyday, to having to find a human every two weeks to drink from. To trying not to kill them. Especially when she is with a group of humans. Growing close to people who eventually, you have to feed off of.
ZEKE~ a boy who is trying to get away from vampires. Who's father, a priest, got a group of followers and set off to find a place that might not even exist. A place without vampires.  He has been trying to find this place almost his whole life! Until he finds allison and brings her into the group. He falls in love with her, without knowing she is a vampire. When he finds out, his whole world turns upside down. He is now afraid of her. When his group gets attackes and kidnapped, allison is the one who saves him. He has to begin to trust her, so she tells him about vampires. He begins to understand vampires. He trusts allison now but doesnt know if he still loves her. tord the end of the book you find out that he does love her and wants to be with her. But then when they get to the place they where looking for allison leaves because she knows that she isn't allowed in. we wont know what zeke feels about that until the next book because he was knocked out cold when that happened. So zeke goes to hateing vampires to someone who began to love one.

SETTING

the setting of the book is a post- apocalyptic world where a lung virus has killed most of the human population and the vampires have taken over. The vampires keep the humans for food supply. - this setting is very interesting because its different from any other book out there! The setting is very important to the story because the main character becomes the thing she hates most -a vampire. Then we get to understand how things are for the vamps. Thats why the setting is very important to the story.

^^^ this review I think explains the whole book very well and hits all the main marks. I like it when they compared the main character (allison) to katniss everdeen! They are very much alike in a way, independent, surivial, poor, takes care of family/friends, and thats really cool! Also they took really cool quotes from the book, I loved that.

Also that its one of those books that you will love with its gut wrenching twists. It will keep you up late reading because you dont want to stop- you WON'T want to stop reading and its true. I know because I stayed up until midnight reading it! :D
